Clara stumbles through the snow, the Doctor a heavy weight on her shoulder. Thankfully, the TARDIS doors open; they go up the walkway, where her Doctor slumps against the console, faint gold sparkling under his skin.
"Clara, you know about my other selves." She can only nod. "Now it's time for me to change again. We had some cool adventures, didn't we? Good-bye, my impossible girl."
"Thank you for everything, Doctor, for saving me." She blinks back tears, moving away at his wave.
"We saved each other, Clara." He smiles. "Geronimo!" And with that word, the room flashes into gold.
